Specialty Camps at the Bloomington-Normal YMCA provide week-long opportunities for children of all ages to try something new, learn new skills, and explore their passions with a group of children who share the same interests! Specialty Camps give your child the added opportunity to swim everyday and grow in what they love to do - all while instilling the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility!

FUTURE PROGRAMMERS CAMP: JUNE 9 TO 13
Age: Youth entering grades 3rd-7th
At this dynamic coding camp, campers will learn the fundamentals of programming through fun and interactive activities. They will explore coding languages, create their own games, and develop problem-solving skills in a supportive, hands-on environment.

JR. LIFEGUARD CAMP: JUNE 23 TO 27
Youth ages 12-14 are welcome to join us this summer for Jr. Lifeguard Camp, a camp designed to give them the skills and confidence they need to keep themselves and those they care about water safe!
BUILD-A-BOT CAMP: JUNE 30 & JULY 2
Age: Youth entering grades 3rd-5th
In this exciting half day camp, campers will learn the fundamentals of wiring and electrical safety while diving into the world of robotics. They'll get hands-on experience building and wiring their own simple bots.
SWIM & SOAR CAMP: JUNE 3 TO JULY 3
Age: Youth ages 5 - 14 (Must be a Summer Camp participant)
This session-based program will offer youth five weeks of swim lessons that will be offered one day a week based on your Summer Camp site location. Each youth will receive a report at the end of the five-week session.
COLORFUL CREATIONS ART CAMP: JULY 7 TO 11
Age: Youth entering grades K-5
In this imaginative camp, campers will explore the world of art through hands-on activities like painting, and drawing. They will learn various techniques and styles while expressing their creativity in a fun, supportive environment.
LEGO CAMP: JULY 14 TO 18
Age: Youth entering grades K-5
In this creative camp, campers will dive into the world of LEGO building, using their imagination to design and construct a variety of exciting projects. From simple structures to complex designs, they will learn the basics of engineering and problem-solving while having fun with LEGO bricks.
