SUMMER CAMP 2026 FACILITY CHANGES
During our 2026 Summer Camp Season (June 8th - August 14th), the following closures will be taking place at the specified times on Tuesdays and Thursdays:
- Community Rooms (7:30a-11:30a)
- Respect + Honesty Courts (7:30a-11:30a)
- Men's and Women's Locker Rooms (9:45a-10:15a & 10:45a-11:15a)
- Rec/Therapy Pool (8:15a-11a)
CAMP SPARROW SUMMER DAY CAMP
YMCA Camp Sparrow is the summer day camp designed for your family! Welcoming youth entering Kindergarten, or age 5 through grade 9. Summer Day Camp allows your child the opportunity to learn new skills, form wonderful relationships with their peers and learn more about themselves. Your child(ren) will spend time outdoors and indoors as experienced staff lead adventures that promote a healthy spirit, mind and body.

Youth will participate in a variety of activities with their group. Activities may include the following:
- Weekly field trips
- Swimming
- Games
- Art
- Character development
- Fitness
- Team building
- Singing and more!
CAMP SPARROW RATES & DATES
With two options of 3 days per week or 5 days per week, your child(ren) can attend Camp Sparrow any 3 or 5 days of the selected week. In addition, starting in 2025, you can select if your child will be participating in Before Care (7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.) or After Care (4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.)! Your weekly selections will be made at the time of camp registration and billing for the respective weeks will be processed automatically the Wednesday prior to the selected week of attendance.
Become a member of the YMCA and access registration early! All registration fees are non-refundable.

Billing for Summer Camp occurs weekly on Wednesdays.

*NEW* 2026 Summer Camp Cancellation Policy
Summer Camp registration fees are non-refundable. Weekly camp cancellations must be submitted via a written request to the Youth Development department at camps@bnymca.org no later than 7 days before the start of the camp week. Cancellation requests received the Monday or Tuesday before the week of camp are subject to be charged, but will receive a system credit. If less than 5 days notice of cancellation or adjustment is given, no refund or system credit will be issues. By signing up for the YMCA's Summer Camp, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of our Cancellation Policy.
Do I need to register for each week my children will be attending in advance?
Pre-registration for each week your child(ren) will be attending Summer Camp is required. Registrants will be given the option to choose which weeks their children will be attending during the registration process.
How does billing work? Am I required to have a payment method on file?
All camp participants MUST have a method of payment on file, as payments will be scheduled to automatically run each week.
Billing occurs weekly on Wednesdays.
Late payments will have an added $10 fee and must be paid prior to the start of the Camp week.
Returned payments will have an added $25 fee and must be paid prior to the start of the Camp week.

LEGO Specialty Camp (3-5) will put campers' creativity and critical thinking to work with hands-on Lego builds that encourage innovation, collaboration, and fun!

This specialty camp gives kiddos the chance to explore science and creativity through safe, supervised, hands-on experiments—so they can make the mess at the Y, not at home!

Specialty Camp Cancellation Policy
GROWING CARING AND CONFIDENT YOUTH
When school is out, fun is in at the Y. School Break Days are held for school children grades K-5 on most days Unit 5 schools are not scheduled to be in session, except for inclement weather days. School Break Days are a fun, safe place for your child to spend their week or time out of school. Participants have a chance to play games, do arts & crafts, and stay active with a variety of activities.

Registration Information
Participants who receive Financial Support are also required to register and pay online, as program discounts will be applied online. Participants who receive state funding through CCRRN need to contact our Director of Camps, Josh, at least 48 hours in advance to be placed on our roster. We do not guarantee available spots for CCRRN/Financial Support on School Break Days. If you are interested in the School Break Day program, please register as soon as you are able.
Registration Pricing
$38 per School Break Day for YMCA Members
$53 per School Break Day for Non-Members
Fees are due on registration for each School Break Day.
What does my child need to bring to a School Break Day?
Children should bring gym shoes, a packed lunch, a swimsuit, and a towel.
What is the cancellation policy for School Break Days?
A written request for cancellation must be sent to the Youth Development email (youthdevelopment@bnymca.org) at least 48 hours before the School Break Day you've registered for. You can receive either a full refund in the form of a system credit, or a partial refund (10% of your payment will be retained for processing fees) back to your card. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the School Break Day begins will not be issued a refund.
